High Fashion

These pieces were created because I was in need of some breadth pieces. One day I just got the urge to try out some fashion sketches. This was really fast and simple. I added watercolor and India Ink to the pencil drawings. These are simple but I really like them. What do you think?

Breadth Piece: Tiny Me

This was taken from a photo and then with the use of carbon paper transferred onto a small canvas bored. The shapes were painted in, and this color scheme was chosen because these are my favorite colors. I thought that was appropriate since this is a self portrait of me. The last step was to add a pattern in one of the layers to add interest, then black and white contour lines were added. I really like this piece and how it turned out!

Still lifes on Regular Paper

Usually I do my still life drawings on my signature found papers background, I decided to go back a couple steps on the recommendation of Mr. Brandt. The Bottles were drawn with charcoal and the glove and ball were painted with acrylic.

Spanish Moss Tree

This piece is a silhouette of a spanish moss tree. The background is watercolor. This was experimental for me because i do not usually use watercolor. I like the piece but i feel like this is missing something. Any suggestions?

Perfume

This is a charcoal drawing of a perfume bottle on a stretched canvas. The background consists of found papers and acrylic paint. Both white and black charcoal was used in this piece. This piece was inspired by the book Perfume by Patrick Suskind. The best part of this piece is the background. The background is really layered and this adds interest to the piece.
