Perfume

This is a charcoal drawing of a perfume bottle on a stretched canvas. The background consists of found papers and acrylic paint. Both white and black charcoal was used in this piece. This piece was inspired by the book Perfume by Patrick Suskind. The best part of this piece is the background. The background is really layered and this adds interest to the piece.

  2. I really like this. The textured papers on the canvas turned out great! You should use that method more often!

  3. This piece has a lot of texture is almost looks rough, and you show your knowlegde of color harmony. It looks interesting and you show awarness of the space you are working in. I like that you show values and reflections. All there is to say it good work and keep doing what you are doing.

  4. I honestly couldn't believe that you did this in charcoal, the texture and style looks so amazing. The colors flow very nicely together and it all fits very well.

  5. I agree with Santiago in that I can't even tell that it is charcoal, which makes it even more awesome! The colors flow well together and the empty space to the left of the bottle gives off the impression that you are about to spray the perfume. Well done Becca.
