This was my second summer assignment. This is a charcoal drawing of a shoe and pearls on a mixed paper background. It is hard to see the background but thats one of my favorite parts. I used alot of different textured, yellow paper and by doing this it made the drawing more interesting!

ReplyDeleteSo i really like this piece. I think the texture created by the tissue paper looks really good and it contrasts the "hardness" of the shoe well. I could definitely see this developing into a series or even a concentration. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Rebecca. You handled the values quite well and really captured the textures of the subject. These in turn provide an interesting but not overpowering contrast with the rough background. Great job!
